The storyline of the film Jai Bhim
The film is based on a true incident that took place in 1993, involving a case fought by Justice K. Chandru. It follows Senggeni and Rajkannu, a couple from the Irular tribe.
A tribal named Rajkannu is arrested by the police in a false case and tortured in jail to confess the case. Rajkannu dies in police torture. To hide his murder, the police spread false rumors that Rajkannu has escaped from jail.
Rajkannu’s wife Senggeni seeks justice to find her husband Rajkannu. Senggeni takes the help of Chandru, a lawyer, to get justice for her husband. Chandru files a habeas corpus case and he finds out the truth of the incident, and finally wins the case and gives justice to Senggeni.

Justice K. Chandru is a former Madras High Court Judge appointed by President Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam to Madras High Court. He was born at Srirangam in Tiruchirappalli District Tamilnadu.
Justice Chandru is known for a case that took place in 1993 when he was practicing as a lawyer.
He does not charge a single rupee for the Rajkannu case. A fact has come to know that he has not taken a single rupee for any human rights case he has fought for and has solved 96000 cases in his justice career.
