Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial update: Jury finds Depp was defamed

The jury in Virginia found that actor Johnny Depp was defamed by his ex-wife Amber Heard in a 2018 op-ed statement.

The jury found that both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had been defamed. The jury was divided on this decision. Depp was paid more.

The jury awarded Mr. Depp $15 million in compensatory and punitive damages but the judge set the total limit to $10.35 million.

$10 million in compensatory damages and an additional $350,000 in punitive damages.

The jury also awarded $2 million in damages to Ms. Heard.
